Ed Rudloff and his team worked on a fairly major house repair for our family resulting from a flood. They reconstructed part of the back foundation wall of our house and replaced large sliding glass doors in our den with a wall and a window instead, as well as replacing the whole concrete pad against the house in the backyard. I used Rudloff Custom Builders two times in the past year. The first time in 2013 I had them completely renovate the master bath and a walk-in closet. The entire bathroom was re-tiled and all new modern fixtures were installed including a heater/vent from the ceiling. The shower was extended into what was a nook in the walk-in closet. Lighting, a rain shower head, a hand-held shower, as well as a seat were installed in the larger shower area. The walk-in closet was renovated, shelves were custom built and three clothes hanging bars were installed. The result was more usable space and easier access within the closet. This year, 2014, we had a powder room, hallway and closet completely redone. Not knowing what we really wanted, the Rudloff team presented many ideas on colors, tiles, fixtures and even custom built barn doors for the closet which became a focal point of the complete job. The workers on both jobs were professional and impeccable in their work. Clean-up was done each day, workers arrived promptly and if they were early, they waited until we were ready for them. Obviously, I was extremely happy with the design and work provided by Rudloff Custom Builders.

I first worked with Ed and Steve in 2004 when they built a master bedroom and bath over the existing two-car garage, and completely remodeled two existing baths. I was extraordinarily pleased with the quality of their work then, and immediately called them when water damage in January 2014 caused extensive damage to the master bath (on the second floor) and the mudroom and garage (on the first floor.) Before work could begin, my insurance company had to review and approve cost estimates. There was a difference between the adjuster’s estimates and Rudloff’s – in part because I chose to upgrade the flooring options – but Ed made himself available to the insurance company and met with the adjuster – which I greatly appreciated. The work was completed within the original estimate, even though new cabinet doors and facings had to be hand stripped and restained in order to match the color of the 2004 cabinets. As was the case in 2004, everyone who worked on the job was very professional and pleasant to have in the house. Each day, the job site was cleaned up before the workers left. Rudloff Custom Builders will certainly be my first call the next time my house needs updating and/or renovations!
